Principle of making high-density PE material


⑤ Product separation and refinement. After the polymerization reaction is completed, a mixture containing high-density PE, unreacted ethylene, catalyst, and some impurities is obtained. Firstly, the unreacted ethylene gas is separated through gas-solid separation equipment for recycling and reuse. Then, the obtained solid high-density PE is subjected to refining treatments such as washing to remove residual catalysts and impurities. For example, using specific solvents for washing can increase the purity and stability of the product.
⑥ Granulation process. After refining, high-density PE is generally in the form of blocks or powders. In order to facilitate storage, transportation, and subsequent processing, granulation is required. Use equipment such as extruders to pass high-density PE through specific molds and cut it into uniform granules. These particles have uniform size and smooth appearance, making them common high-density PE raw materials in the market, which can be widely used in many fields such as pipes and injection molded products.
