Classification of PE pipes
High density polyethylene is a non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless white particle with a melting point of approximately 130 ℃ and a relative density of 0.941-0.960. It has good heat and cold resistance, good chemical stability, high rigidity and toughness, and good mechanical strength. The dielectric properties and resistance to environmental stress cracking are also good. When packaging and storing hnsot, it should be kept away from sources of fire, insulated, and the warehouse should be kept dry and tidy. It is strictly prohibited to mix any impurities, and it is strictly forbidden to expose it to sunlight or rain. Transportation should be stored in clean, dry, covered carriages or cabins, and there should be no sharp objects such as nails. It is strictly prohibited to mix with flammable organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons during transportation. Recycling HDPE is the fastest-growing part of the plastic recycling market. This is mainly because it is easy to reprocess, has minimal degradation characteristics, and has a wide range of applications in packaging. The main recycling process involves reprocessing 25% of recycled materials, such as post consumer recycled products (PCR), with pure HDPE to produce bottles that do not come into contact with food. PE pipes for water supply are the replacement products of traditional steel pipes and polyvinyl chloride drinking water pipes. Pipe characteristics: PE pipe characteristics: 1. PE gas pipe (1) Reliable connection: Polyethylene pipeline systems are connected by electric melting, and the strength of the joint is higher than that of the pipeline body. ⑵ Good low-temperature impact resistance: Polyethylene has an extremely low low-temperature brittleness temperature and can be safely used within the temperature range of 60 ℃. During winter construction, due to the good impact resistance of the materials, there will be no occurrence of pipe brittleness. ⑶ Good stress cracking resistance: HDPE has low notch sensitivity, high shear strength, excellent scratch resistance, and outstanding environmental stress cracking resistance. ⑷ Good chemical corrosion resistance: HDPE pipes can withstand corrosion from various chemical media, and the chemicals present in the soil will not cause any degradation effect on the pipes. Polyethylene is an electrical insulator, therefore it does not undergo decay, rusting, or electrochemical corrosion; In addition, it does not promote the growth of algae, bacteria, or fungi. ⑸ Aging resistance and long service life: Polyethylene pipes containing 2-2.5% uniformly distributed carbon black can be stored outdoors or used for 50 years without damage from ultraviolet radiation. ⑹ Good wear resistance: Comparative tests on the wear resistance of HDPE pipes and steel pipes show that the wear resistance of HDPE pipes is four times that of steel pipes. In the field of mud transportation, compared with steel pipes, HDPE pipes have better wear resistance, which means that HDPE pipes have a longer service life and better economy. ⑺ Good flexibility: The flexibility of HDPE pipes makes them easy to bend, and in engineering, they can bypass obstacles by changing the direction of the pipe. In many cases, the flexibility of the pipe can reduce the amount of pipe fittings and lower installation costs.
⑻ Convenient handling: HDPE pipes are lighter than concrete pipes, galvanized pipes, and steel pipes. They are easy to handle and install, with lower labor and equipment requirements, which means that the installation cost of the project is greatly reduced. Multiple new construction methods: HDPE pipes have multiple construction techniques. In addition to traditional excavation methods, various new non excavation techniques such as pipe jacking, directional drilling, lining, and cracking can also be used for construction. This is the only choice for places where excavation is not allowed, so HDPE pipes have a wider range of applications. 2. Characteristics of PE water supply pipes: 1. Long service life: Under normal conditions, the minimum service life can reach 50 years. 2. Good hygiene: PE pipes are non-toxic, do not contain heavy metal additives, do not scale, do not breed bacteria, and effectively solve the problem of secondary pollution of drinking water. Compliant with GB/T17219 safety evaluation standards and relevant health and safety evaluation regulations of the Ministry of Health of China. 3. Resistant to corrosion from various chemical media: no electrochemical corrosion. 4. The inner wall is smooth, the friction coefficient is extremely low, the medium's ability to pass through is correspondingly improved, and it has excellent wear resistance. 5. Good flexibility, high impact strength, and resistance to strong earthquakes and twisting. 6. Lightweight, easy to transport and install. 7. The unique electric fusion connection, hot melt docking, and hot melt socket connection technologies ensure high interface strength and the safety and reliability of the interface with the pipe body. 8. The welding process is simple, the construction is convenient, and the overall project cost is low. 9. PE environmentally friendly and healthy water supply pipes DN20~DN90 are blue, DN110 and above are blue or black with blue lines, and other colors need to be customized. The color of the accessories should correspond to the color of the pipe. 10. Low water flow resistance: HDPE pipes have a smooth inner surface with a Manning's coefficient of 0.009. The smooth performance and non adhesive properties ensure that HDPE pipes have higher transport capacity than traditional pipes, while also reducing pressure loss and water transmission energy consumption in the pipeline.
